See: https://thecoastnews.com/oceanside-council-moves-toward-drone-regulations/ In November of 2017 there were at least two newspaper articles that mentioned that the city of Oceanside was on the verge of drafting a Drone Ordinance that would require a permit to fly a drone and would impose penalties for flying without a permit. I have searched https://library.municode.com/ca/oceanside/codes/code_of_ordinances and can not find any CODES, ORDINANCES, or DOCUMENTS pertaining to drones or any information listing how to obtain a permit. Please provide the ordinance number or a statement that a drone ordinance was either never adopted or that it was repealed.

Thank you.

Mr. Hill,

To my knowledge, the proposed ordinances regarding drones was never adopted.  My understanding was that there were conflicts regarding jurisdiction of airspace which limited our abilities to enforce such an ordinance.

I hope this answers your question.

Thanks
