Is that killer photo really worth a $14,000 in fines?

He had LAANC approval to fly in the airspace. What he did not have was permission to take off or land.  He also refused to show the required photo ID. The city, not the FAA, has jurisdiction concerning where you can stand while operating a drone and where you can take off and land.  When law enforcement says "You can't fly here. Land immediately." what they are enforcing in the right to take off and land, not your use of the airspace.  Don't argue with law enforcement.   Do your research before you take off.
