On the Las Vegas Strip
If you are seriously asking the question, "Can I fly my drone on "The Strip?" the short answer is: yes (with proper approval). The longer answer is: Is it worth the risk? After all, you are in Las Vegas, the gambling capital of the world (or the United States at least), and you are a gambler. Right?
Here are a few things to consider when evaluating that risk.
The Strip is in controlled airspace so LAANC approval is required.
The Strip is in "zero grid" which means that automatic LAANC approval is 0 feet AGL. You don't even need to install props on your drone if you are not going above 0 feet AGL. If you want to fly higher than 0 feet AGL then you will need to get a manual LAANC approval which takes between three and 14 days to get approved (if it gets approved). You will need to state a) where you want to fly, b) how high you want to fly, c) when you want to fly, d) how long you want to fly, and e) why you want to fly there at that time. You will need to give your Part 107 certificate number and a cell phone number that you will need to have on you when you fly in case Metro (the Las Vegas Police) needs to have a chat with you.
After you receive your LAANC approval you are going to want to notify the Fusion Center to give them a heads-up so that when they get a call from a hotel or casino that there is a drone in their security zone, they know you are ok and don't have to "roll Metro" to your location.
The hotels/casinos have elaborate security systems including drone detection equipment. When they detect your drone (and they will) they will contact their security personnel and the Fusion Center.
Las Vegas is a tourist town with lots and lots of people. Finding a place where you are not flying over people is possible but not easy. Then you also run into the issue of where you can take off and land. Check the Drone Laws page for restrictions on where you can not take off or land.
How to get that killer "drone shot" the easy way
If the best camera you have is the one in your drone, then take the props off and use your drone's camera. Don't forget to take the controller for your drone. If you have a better camera, like the one on your cell phone, a GoPro camera, or a digital SLR camera, then use that camera.
Take your camera to one of these places:
Take a helicopter tour of the city
Go to the observation level or bar level at the top of THE STRAT
Take a ride on the HIGH ROLLER
Go to the observation level in the Eiffel Tower in Paris Las Vegas
If nothing else, go to the top floor (roof) of any casino parking structure.
