Henderson Parks
The City of Henderson is proud to be "home to 71 premier parks with a variety of outstanding features and amenities", however, only four of the parks are open to Unmanned Aircraft. That is only 5.6% of the parks. Now I realize that not all parks are suitable for flying drones, due to their small size, or their proximity to airports, schools, or critical infrastructure but, come on, only 5.6%? I propose that, as a drone community, we make a list of the 68 NO-FLY parks and try and determine why they are NO-FLY parks. For those parks that we can not determine why they are on the NO-FLY list, we can generate a list of parks that would make great drone parks and list them as candidates to be added to the drones-allowed park list. Once we have the list, we present it to the City of Henderson Parks and Recreation Department and request that they be added to the list of parks where drones can be flown. What are your thoughts? The four Henderson parks where you can fly a drone at are listed on the City of Henderson Parks and Recreation website.
Unmanned aircraft (an aircraft operated without the possibility of human intervention from within or on the aircraft, not limited to devices commonly referred to as drones, remote controlled aircraft and model aircraft) may only be operated in designated parks, as posted, during normal hours of operation and in accordance with all applicable Nevada, city and federal laws and regulations.
Individuals may operate unmanned aircraft (following all applicable rules) only at Amador Vista Park, Cornerstone Park, Hidden Falls Park, and Mission Hills Park.
Any and all commercial use, events and groups of 10 or more people require a special permit through the City's Parks and Recreation Department.

Notice: Back on Aug 6, 2017 a YouTuber posted this video that said that Equestrain Park South, Hiden Falls Park, Cornerstone Park and Amador Park were the four Henderson-approved Drone parks. THIS VIDEO IS NO LONGER VALID! Equestrian Park South was removed from the list and replaced with Mission Hills Park.
