Brook Park, Ohio

Proposed Drone Ordinance

The draft Brook Park drone ordinance was modeled  (cut and paste) after the Aurora drone ordinance.

If you can't fly a drone within 1,000 feet of a cell tower and the cell towers are spaced between 0.25 - 0.5 miles apart (1320-2640 feet) you have effectivelly blanketed the city with 1,000 foot radius no-fly-zones.  In other words, "if you can receive a cellphone call, you can't fly".

Let's not forget that AT&T, Verizon, T-Mobile, and Sprint may not be on the same tower, resulting in more towers per square mile.

If that isn't bad enough, draw another 1,000 foot radius around every "Utility power sub stations".  Don't they have one of these about every block or so?
